The teachers and guides

In Pyrene we have a team of professionals with degrees in fields such as philology, communications and translation / interpreting, and with experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
Our professors and guides were born and still live in the area where they work, which means they can provide their students with the benefit of both their personal and professional experience.

Marga

Marga studied law at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, although her career over the last nine years has been in banking. After having a son, Víctor, she began to consider a change of direction, which has resulted in the creation of the Pyrene School of Spanish. She believes it’s possible to teach Spanish in a new way, and has put a lot of effort and enthusiasm into proving it. Books, films and music are among her passions. She also loves discovering new places.

Josemari

Josemari has been a journalist since 1996. Currently he is the editor of the current affairs magazine Ecos del Cinca and a correspondent for the newspaper La Mañana de Lleida. He comes from Binéfar (Huesca) and has a degree in journalism from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. Over the years he has worked on various newspapers, radio stations and websites in the provinces of Huesca and Lleida. He likes languages, music, cinema ... anything that teaches him something new.

Elisabet

Elisabet has been a Spanish teacher since 2006. She comes from Albelda, a small town in the province of Huesca, and has a degree in Hispanic philology. She has taught Spanish in Argentina and Barcelona. Her hobbies are music (she plays the guitar in an Aragonese folk group), travelling and getting to know as many new places as possible.

Maria josé

María José is a Spanish and English teacher. She has a degree in translation and interpreting. In Ireland, where she lived for four years, she obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in TEFL. When she returned to Spain, she studied for a Master’s in ELE at the University of Valencia. Her last job was as a Spanish conversation teacher in George Heriot School, Edinburgh. She loves learning languages and travelling. She also likes photography, art and escaping into the countryside whenever she can.
